Gratitude holds immense power in shaping our perception of the world and fostering a sense of contentment within us. Over the next 30 days, let’s embark on a journey of appreciation and reflection with these simple prompts.

Week 1: Reflecting on People

  1. Who makes you laugh the hardest?
  2. Thank a teacher or mentor who impacted your life.
  3. Appreciate someone who goes above and beyond for you (mail carrier, barista, etc.).
  4. Express gratitude for a friend who listens and supports you.
  5. Think of a stranger who made your day a little brighter (positive interaction, helpful gesture).
  6. Appreciate your family, chosen or biological.
  7. Thank a partner or spouse for their love and support.

Week 2: Savoring Experiences

  1. Reflect on a recent accomplishment, big or small.
  2. Be grateful for a learning experience, even if challenging.
  3. Appreciate a moment of peace and relaxation.
  4. Thankful for a fun adventure or trip you took.
  5. Express gratitude for a time you helped someone in need.
  6. Reflect on a moment of pure joy you recently experienced.
  7. Appreciate a delicious meal you enjoyed.

Week 3: The Power of Possessions

  1. Be grateful for a comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep.
  2. Appreciate a book that impacted you or sparked joy.
  3. Thankful for a piece of clothing that makes you feel confident.
  4. Express gratitude for a technology that makes your life easier (phone, computer, etc.).
  5. Appreciate a tool or item that helps you pursue a hobby.
  6. Be grateful for a meaningful keepsake or heirloom.
  7. Thankful for a home that provides comfort and shelter.

Week 4: Simple Joys

  1. Appreciate the beauty of nature (a sunrise, a clear sky, a flower blooming).
  2. Be grateful for your senses (sight, touch, taste, smell, hearing).
  3. Express gratitude for good health (or for progress you’re making on your health journey).
  4. Appreciate a moment of quiet reflection.
  5. Be grateful for your favorite song or piece of music.
  6. Express gratitude for a delicious cup of coffee or tea.
  7. Appreciate a good conversation with a loved one.
  8. Be grateful for your ability to learn and grow.
  9. Reflect on all the things you’re grateful for in your life, big and small. You’ve completed the challenge!
